About Dental Implant Service
A dental implant is a screw-shaped titanium post surgically placed into the jawbone to replace the root of a missing tooth. Through osseointegration, the bone naturally fuses to the implant, creating a secure foundation. A crown is then screwed or cemented onto an abutment on top.
Implants do not require altering adjacent teeth (unlike bridges) and are designed to look, feel, and function like natural teeth while preserving bone health.
Procedure: Two Stages
Stage 1 – Placement
Implant placed; healing 3–6 months for osseointegration.
Stage 2 – Restoration
Crown designed and attached ~2 weeks after scan.
Frequently Asked Questions
How long do dental implants last?
With proper care, dental implants can last many years.
Does getting a dental implant hurt?
The procedure is performed under local anesthetic. Mild soreness afterward is common and manageable.
Am I a candidate for dental implants?
Most healthy adults are candidates, but adequate bone density is required. Bone grafting may be recommended if bone is lacking.
How do I care for my dental implant?
Just like natural teeth—brush and floss daily, and visit your dentist for regular check-ups.
Are there situations where an implant isn't recommended?
Uncontrolled health conditions, smoking, or untreated gum disease can affect healing. Your dentist will review your history to determine the best plan.
